Jose Mauricio Varon; born February 4th 1991 is a Peruvian/French composer. He has scored video games such as Imp of The Sun,Immortal: Gates of Pyrus and Arafinn: Return to Nangrim. He also composed the music for the films El Fugitivo de Los Andes (a unique Peruvian-influenced Western), KAI and Culture Shock.After graduating from Berklee College of Music, Jose
moved to Los Angeles, California, where he started working in the Film industry..Inspired early on by Hollywood movies, Varon’s musical style focuses on creating memorable themes. Always finding the right balance between modern, ethnic and classical orchestra in order to create unique sounds and textures. Jose also co-founded Sunwolf Entertainment, a game development studio located in Lima, Peru.

He also composed the music for Hollywood productions Kai and Culture Shock as well as the independent feature El Fugitivo de Los Andes.
After graduating from Berklee College of Music, Jose moved to Los Angeles, California, where he started working in the Film and Video Games industry. In 2018, Jose and award winning composer Cris Velasco co-founded The Audio Hive, a full service production company located in Los Angeles, California.
Inspired early on by Hollywood movies and composers such as John Williams, Ennio Morricone, Maurice Jarre and Joe Hisaishi, Varon’s musical style focuses on creating memorable themes. Always finding the right balance between modern, ethnic and classical orchestra in order to create unique sounds and textures.
Jose also co-founded Sunwolf Entertainment, a game development studio where he serves as Director.
